Police Chief Tony Peluso asked whether the Board must be involved in the upcoming Police Sergeant promotional process. City Attorney Melissa Wolf advised that the new police union contract must be formally approved before the Board can change its rules, but she confirmed the Police Department can proceed with notifying the testing service and handling the logistics for the promotional exam.
