The board approved a five-year commitment renewal with the Rural Virtual Academy (RVA) during the Oct. 23 meeting. The motion, moved by Doug Verdegan and seconded by Jennifer Heath, passed with the board recording that the district pays approximately $4,500 per RVA student but receives $11,325 per FTE in state funding, and that students may access many courses and an on-site learning center (HS IMC).
