Madison County Commissioners on July 13, 2026 approved an initial investigation by the CMS Group and the scope defined in documents provided to the board, the minutes show. The special meeting convened at 3:00 p.m. in the Administrative Office Building's jury meeting room in Virginia City and included Commissioner Duke W. Gilman, Commissioner and Chairman Ronald E. Nye, and Commissioner William A. Todd; Madison County Attorney Colton Lauer and Greg Ross of CMS participated by telephone.
