Council approves rear-yard setback variation for deck at 87 Somerset Circle
Council adopted O-2026-09 to allow a new deck at 87 Somerset Circle (Nowakowski) by reducing required rear-yard setback to 23.1 feet (south) and 23.75 feet (north). The measure passed unanimously.

The Wheaton City Council unanimously adopted Ordinance O-2026-09 on Feb. 17 granting a rear-yard setback variation for property commonly known as 87 Somerset Circle to permit a new deck. City staff reported the approved setbacks reduce the required 25-foot rear-yard distance to 23.1 feet on the south side and 23.75 feet on the north side.
