Resident asks board to allow longstanding mobile home as accessory dwelling
Bob Orange told the Muscatine County supervisors he wants to keep a mobile home placed about 30 years ago and use it for multigenerational housing; county development staff advised he consult zoning staff and the board of adjustment if needed.

At the public-comment portion of the Aug. 3 meeting, resident Bob Orange asked the board for permission to leave a mobile home placed on his property about 30 years ago so he and his wife can move into it. Orange said the original board granted permission decades ago and asked to keep the unit in place as a multigenerational accessory dwelling: "I'm here looking for permission to leave it."
