Region One Education Service Center staff presented the TEA R‑PEP program to the board and described a proposed district collaboration in the Rio Grande Valley branded in the packet as 'RGV‑CAREER.' The R‑PEP program (created by HB 2209 of the 88th Legislature) is designed to let rural school districts form multi‑district partnerships to expand student access to coherent college and career pathways and to pursue funding and accountability recognition tied to CCMR measures.
