Public-safety and code-enforcement issues dominated part of the work session, with multiple council members and staff identifying properties that need follow-up. "Mr. Holloway noted 152 Keener on the Franklin St side has a retaining wall that is going to fail with more rainfall," a concern that the borough said it will investigate. Council also discussed ongoing dumping at the JC building by the community center, a resident seeking a demolition permit for the 639 Broadway shed, and two trailers added at 254 W Broadway that prompted staff to investigate inspection and occupancy rules.
