Brad Hinton, Board President, presided over the Aug. 17 meeting of the Snyder ISD Board of Trustees, where the board voted to approve a Turnaround Plan (TAP) for Snyder Junior High required by the Texas Education Agency (TEA).
Ralph Ramon moved to approve the TAP for Junior High and Chad Arnwine seconded the motion. The motion carried with six yeas, no nays and no abstentions. The board discussed the TAP as part of the campus improvement process required by TEA to address identified performance issues and authorized staff to implement the approved plan.
The approval is a formal step in the district’s school improvement process. The board did not specify additional budget amounts or implementation dates during the motion; further implementation details were discussed as part of informational updates elsewhere in the meeting.
