Savoy ISD board delegates RDSPD program authority to superintendent, with exceptions

At its Aug. 15 meeting the Savoy ISD Board of Trustees voted to delegate authority to the superintendent to serve on the RDSPD Management Board and "take all necessary program action on behalf of the District," while expressly reserving two powers to the full board: any decision to withdraw the district from RDSPD membership and decisions involving anticipated or potential litigation related to the RDSPD agreement. Bear Reed moved the measure and Barbara Malone seconded; the motion carried with six "Yea" votes and one abstention (Jeff Francis, listed as "Abstain (With Conflict)").
