The commission approved Resolution 2026-0355 to authorize a subgrant with the Greater Ohio Workforce Board, Inc. (GOWBI) to provide comprehensive, business-driven workforce development services in coordination with partners across the board’s service area. The subgrant’s effective dates are July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2028 and the listed funding sources include Wagner-Peyser, WIOA Adult and Youth, NDWG, TANF and other federal programs.
Michelle Noble noted during the agenda review that "there are no numbers on the agreement and the funding comes from Montgomery County." Commissioners voted unanimously to approve the subgrant and authorized the county administrator to execute related documents.
