Clark County awards $1.43 million contract for three bridge projects

The Board of Clark County Commissioners on April 29 approved a $1,434,336 contract with Ohio Bridge Corporation dba U.S. Bridge to supply and install a steel pony truss superstructure for Addison-New Carlisle Road Bridge No. 1, a steel-beam superstructure for South Pitchin Road Bridge No. 1616, and deck flooring and stringers for North River Road Bridge No. 1629.
Commissioner Charles A. Patterson moved to award the bid; Commissioner Richard L. Lohnes seconded the motion. The roll-call vote recorded all three commissioners voting Yes. The contract is funded from MV> local funds and lists an effective work window from April 29, 2026, through Oct. 16, 2026.
The award follows the county engineer's request and addresses multiple small-structure needs in the county road network. County staff said the procurement followed standard bidding procedures and that the contract includes deliverables and an anticipated completion date.
The commission authorized the county administrator to execute the contract and related documents. The resolution was recorded as 2026-0328.
