The Oakwood County Planning Commission approved a request by James Chantrell for a side-yard variance to accommodate an existing 16-by-40-foot shed at 939 Bluejay Drive in Spring Creek. Staff told the commission the building official discovered the structure and cited a violation; staff recommended approval because of site topography and septic placement that would have supported a hardship finding if the property owner had applied beforehand. "This variance is subject to restrictions and conditions as outlined in Elko County code 4 95," Corey said during his presentation.
