The Albert Lea Public School District Board of Education voted unanimously March 26 to advance two candidates to second-round interviews in the district's superintendent search. Board member Gary Schindler moved to bring Mandy Fletcher of Blue Earth and the candidate recorded in the transcript as Steve (surname spelled both 'Heil' and 'Heinl') back for additional interviews; Board member Kim Nelson seconded and the motion carried 7-0.
