Sorrells told commissioners the office had reviewed roughly 193 election-related matters over the last 3.5 years, and that many matters are administrative or require further data (for example, 145 flags for possible noncitizen registrations are pending federal data checks). He emphasized that the task force prioritizes careful review and factual evaluation over indictment counts; "The measure of success is justice served," Sorrells said, adding that investigations distinguish criminal conduct from misunderstandings or administrative errors.
Commissioners asked about reporting and transparency; the DA said the office does not publish a public dashboard of open investigative subjects because doing so could unfairly stigmatize individuals under review. He reiterated that the task force centralizes specialized expertise and provides a consistent process for evaluating election-related allegations.
