Resident warns council a missing sidewalk will create dangerous conditions near Murphy Woods
At a Beloit City Council meeting, resident Vicki Brown urged the city to plan sidewalks and bikeways between Murphy Woods and Cranston, saying speeding and debris make the stretch hazardous and that new housing will increase the risk.

Vicki Brown, who identified herself as a resident at 2404 Heather Terrace, told the council the stretch between Murphy Woods and Cranston lacks sidewalks and bike-safe infrastructure and warned the city to act before there is a serious injury. "Somebody is gonna get killed there," she said during the public-comment period.
