Council members highlight infrastructure fixes, parking plans and board openings

Council members used the work session to report on routine infrastructure and constituent concerns. Councilman McDonald (Ward A) reported alley repairs on the 800 block of South Side of 8th Street and raised the need for attention at the old Lyons Field. Councilman Davis outlined plans to address drainage and infrastructure as part of the budget process and noted that off-street parking work will use milling from 2nd Street's grind-and-overlay, saying county roadwork should reach Freeport in about a month.
