Disparity study team reports anecdotal interviews and data work; next step is utilization analysis

Griffin Strong updated the task force that anecdotal evidence collection is complete (30 interviews, 6 business interviews, 3 organizational interviews, 2 community meetings, 2 focus groups) and that the team is finalizing a prime data summary to start utilization and disparity index analysis once Regional 1 sign‑off occurs.
Griffin Strong, presenting online, said the disparity study team has finished its anecdotal evidence collection and is drafting the anecdotal chapter while revising a policy chapter submitted to Regional 1 Health. "So 1st, the major thing that we have completed is all of our anecdotal evidence collection," Strong said, adding the team conducted "30 anecdotal interviews ... 6 business interviews ... 2 focus groups" and an online survey of business owners.
Strong told the task force the team is working with Regional 1 to produce a prime data summary for the payments dataset so it can move into utilization and availability analyses and compute disparity indices; once Regional 1 approves that summary, the study will progress to data analysis and visualization. Commissioners asked for hard copies of the timeline and for counts of participants in focus groups and interviews; JW Gibson and others requested the list of participants and response counts be emailed to the committee.
