Public Health reports school program, bike rodeo, and 129-pound medication take-back

Jaelyn Scanlan, Public Health Officer, briefed the board on recent outreach: the 'Catch My Breath' program started at Lena School during the week of May 6; a Bike Rodeo in Lena planned for this Saturday will hand out helmets to participating youth; and an April 25, 2026 medication take-back event collected approximately 129 pounds of unwanted medication. Scanlan also said Walk to School events will begin this month and staff participated in an emergency medical response simulation last week.
