Sheriff David Wagner presented cost information for a K-9 unit and said initial purchase and training costs are $13,800; donations to date exceed that amount but the sheriff noted vehicle and insurance costs would require additional funding.
By motion from Commissioner Scott Matley the board approved the purchase and training for the K-9 project, authorizing the Sheriff to proceed. The roll call vote was unanimous: Matley, yes; Sieting, yes; Baldwin, yes; Bicum, yes; Comai, yes; Persons, yes; Fisher, yes.
