During first readings of revised board policies on Nov. 5, trustees discussed BP 6142.92 (Mathematics Instruction) and Member Glover suggested eliminating limiting language so the policy would explicitly encompass all disabilities. President Burns and the board agreed the policy should return for a second reading with the suggested language change.
The meeting noted two other policies presented for first reading (BP 6000 and BP 6112) but the substantive policy discussion focused on BP 6142.92 and inclusive language for instructional resources. Staff will prepare the revision for a future meeting and second reading.
