The Waterloo Local Board of Education completed its organizational business Jan. 9, electing board officers and confirming its meeting schedule for 2025.
Board Chair (speaker 1) opened nominations for president and, after motions and a roll-call vote, the nominated candidate was elected. The board then closed nominations and approved a vice president in a separate roll-call vote. "I just wanna thank you guys for, and ladies for, letting me be continue on as president," the board chair said after the vote, expressing appreciation for the board's support. The board also set the regular meeting date as the second Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. for 2025.
