Village Administrator Mary Jo Seehausen updated the Board on several infrastructure projects and grant activities at the Aug. 19 meeting.
Seehausen said ComEd finalized the design to reroute service around the village water tower but the work is awaiting railroad permits and the original project bid will be held until permits are cleared; she also reported the drainage project is scheduled for late August or early September depending on delivery of large storm pipes. She added the village is preparing an Arbor Grant submission for a Will County project at 35th and Susan Lane and completed an Army Corps inspection tied to the 33rd Street grant. Seehausen thanked staff for the recent Steger Day of Music and noted a new BP station in town is about "3 to 4 weeks away from opening."
