Board approves multiple personnel contracts, MOUs and policy revisions

The board accepted resignation and retirement notices (including Elizabeth Hayes from Destination Imagination) and approved substitute contracts and multiple supplemental coaching contracts for the 2025–26 school year, contingent on required certification or eligibility. Board members also approved several memoranda of understanding (MOUs) and a revised MOU related to personnel compensation. One board member abstained from an MOU vote citing a spouse's involvement with the union and potential compensation ties.
The board reviewed Title IX and harassment-policy language changes that removed a specific reference to gender-identity protections in the way the federal guidance required language revisions; the chair said the changes followed recent Department of Justice and Department of Education guidance. Multiple new and revised policies (interdistrict open enrollment, attendance, discipline, code of conduct, and others) were also approved or advanced as listed on the agenda.
