District staff: new state security standards push secondary-school plan

District facilities staff told the Granite School District Board the bar for school security has risen and the district will map a master plan to bring junior highs and high schools up to the new standard, including perimeter fencing and front vestibules; detailed vulnerabilities will be discussed in executive session, a board member said.
