Finance Committee approves $2 million transfer to landfill cell construction
The Steuben County Finance Committee authorized a $2 million transfer from the landfill fund balance to the Landfill Cell Construction capital project to fund upcoming construction; the motion passed 5-0 and a county resolution is required.

The Steuben County Finance Committee voted unanimously to transfer $2,000,000 from the landfill fund balance into the Landfill Cell Construction capital project to cover planned construction costs. Legislator William Thew moved the authorization and Robert V. Nichols seconded; "Authorizing the transfer of $2 million from the landfill fund balance to the landfill cell construction capital project," the motion record states. The motion carried 5-0.
