Probation director proposes Catalis hosting for case management; resolution forthcoming

Tyrone Thomas, director of Probation, told the committee the office received 46 investigations in March and is moving forward with plans to upgrade its case management system. After several meetings, Thomas said allowing Catalis to host the system appears to be the preferred option and he will submit a resolution next month to authorize the hosting arrangement.
Thomas said he is exploring alternative reporting for low-risk probationers, met with another county’s staff about DWI supervision practices and will provide updated supervision case figures at the next meeting. The committee recorded the report; no vote on the hosting arrangement occurred at this session.
