Wastewater regionalization feasibility study moves forward; phase 2 update expected in October

Staff reported completion of Phase 1a of the wastewater regionalization feasibility study and ongoing work on phases 1b and 1c; a Phase 2 update to the WRWC and NNWPC is expected in October.
At the program manager's report, staff said Phase 1a of the wastewater regionalization feasibility study is complete and work continues on phases 1b and 1c. Kim Rigdon said consultant Raftelis conducted workshops with individual agencies to refine financial analyses and that staff expects to deliver a Phase 2 update to the WRWC and the Northern Nevada Water Planning Commission in October.
Rigdon said the Cold Springs water balance model and build-out scenario are complete and under Washoe County review; once county review is complete the consultant Stantec will present the findings to the board, with scheduling hoped for in September. The commission did not take action on these studies at the meeting but noted the planned reporting timeline.
