Commission approves sign permit for Pointe Dillon Condominiums

The Planning & Zoning Commission voted to approve Resolution PZ05-26, a class 1 sign permit allowing permanent metal lettering and artwork to be affixed to an existing onsite boulder at Pointe Dillon Commons. An applicant representative moved approval and a commissioner seconded the motion; the Chair called the vote and the motion carried.

In the staff presentation, a field investigator confirmed the boulder measures about 3 feet tall and is set back roughly 5 feet from the property line, meeting setback requirements for sign zone A. The applicant agreed to provide a final cut sheet showing the steel attachment and materials so town staff can verify durability and corrosion resistance prior to permit issuance. "I went out today and measured and the boulder is 3 feet and it is within the property line, which it needs to be," staff said in recommending approval. The commission recorded the motion to approve, which was seconded and carried by voice vote.
