Board adopts Secondary Roads budget and five‑year construction program

County Engineer Ryne Thornburg presented the FY2027 Secondary Roads DOT Budget and the Five-Year Secondary Roads Construction Program to the board; Supervisors Meek and House moved to adopt both and the board approved RESOLUTION #04-13-2026C by unanimous roll call. The resolution directs submission of the documents to the Iowa Department of Transportation as required by state law.
The board also received operational notifications from the roads crew, including schedule changes (10-hour, four-day workweeks starting April 20), upcoming rock work north of Highway 16 on Jasmine Ave, and staffing updates: an equipment operator resignation and planned interviews in early May.
