County staff says SNPLMA estimates need updating; Appendix L submitted

County maintenance staff told the Agricultural District that some SNPLMA (Southern Nevada Public Land Management Act) cost figures dated to 2020 and needed updated estimates before the district could finalize grant requests. Cole Burdick said Appendix L had been submitted and that the district is awaiting the approval decision.
Member Martin Troutt relayed a conversation with a contact named Barson on April 20, 2026, who indicated the request to drop the event center as a deliverable had been approved and that she planned to contact the SNPLMA approval committee about applying in the next funding round. Separately, the White Pine Horse Race Committee plans to meet with the county commission to request assistance covering costs for sheriff and ambulance services at the fair and races.
