Peekskill touts Fleischmann's Pier success and plans waterfront development

McKenzie said the city invited expressions of interest for waterfront development and has identified three developers to help shape proposals that could include homeownership, a boutique hotel, or additional housing. She emphasized the goal of creating a specific “look and feel” for the waterfront district that complements the train station and Hudson River views. The mayor also described outreach to West Point and reported that the boat operator RMS has demonstrated broader Hudson River ridership at other locations.
