Harvey County renews county engineer contract with MKEC Engineering
The Board accepted a contract to retain MKEC Engineering as the county-appointed County Engineer for a base year with four optional years, renewing annually and to be reviewed before its expected end in 2030. Commissioners agreed to solicit bids before the contract's 2030 expiration.

The Harvey County Board of Commissioners voted to accept a contract with MKEC Engineering, Inc. to serve as the county-appointed County Engineer. Jim Meier, Road & Bridge Superintendent, told commissioners the firm has performed county engineering services since 2014 and recommended reappointing MKEC. "This contract is for one year with four additional option years, renewing automatically every year unless written notice is issued; it will expire in November of 2030 unless it is cancelled sooner," Meier said.
