Library seeks $1.76 million from county, outlines staffing and program expansion

The Sheridan County Public Library requested $1,759,167 in county support for the coming fiscal year to restore services, add three positions (branch hours, archivist/cataloging, programming) and fund capital maintenance including HVAC work and a PAC damper.

Amy, the library director, presented the Sheridan County Public Library System’s budget request and framed it as an investment in community access and programming. "What we're asking for from the county general fund is, a total investment of $1,759,167," she said, noting the ask is an increase from last year's $1,413,000.
