The Gresham-Barlow School District Board of Education convened a special work session via Zoom on Aug. 20, 2025 at 5:01 p.m. Chair Blake Petersen called the meeting to order and a quorum was present. Director Heather Coleman-Cox arrived at 5:11 p.m. and was not present for the roll call or the agenda approval vote.
The board approved the meeting agenda (MOTION 14), moved by Kris Howatt and seconded by Shawn Farrens; the motion carried with six ayes and one absent. The board then recessed into an executive session at 5:02 p.m. to discuss personnel under ORS 192.660(2)(b). The minutes state that the virtual audio and video were muted for members of the public during the executive session; the board reconvened in open session at 5:29 p.m.
Chair Petersen reviewed announcements included in the agenda packet and noted upcoming meetings: a board strategic planning session on Aug. 21, 2025 at Clear Creek Middle School and the regular board business meeting on Sept. 3, 2025 at the Public Safety and Schools Building. The session was adjourned at 5:32 p.m.
