Students at Cascade Opportunity Center urge more math support and separate classroom space
Students and staff at the Cascade Opportunity Center described efforts to elevate student voice and asked the board for a dedicated math teacher and additional classroom space; counselors demonstrated a Student Success Class and administrators linked some funding to the district's Integrated Plan/SIA.

Principal of the Cascade Opportunity Center, Ms. Thompson, introduced Opportunity Center staff and students and described a Student Success Class moderated by Counselor Hinkle that the Board observed on Nov. 25. Students answered the class prompt, “What was your school experience before enrolling at the Opportunity Center?” and discussed how the Center’s structure differs from their prior schools.
