Students, teachers association update board on activities and winter programs

During the communications portion of the Jan. 9 meeting, Board Chair Jim Jordan described attending the high school play 'Clue' and highlighted district arts and CTE offerings. High school student representative Taylor Thompson said, "the students had fun during Christmas week," and noted winter sports and student community-service events, including a NICU visit and participation in the Salvation Army Bus Jam.
Eva Varga, representing the North Bend Education Association, reported that elementary winter clubs have started and thanked the board for its service during Board Appreciation Month. These updates were given as informational items; no board action was taken on the programs during the meeting.
