Board Reviews Compulsory Attendance AR as State Citation Practice Changes

Matt Yoshioka presented the first reading of Policy JEA and the administrative regulation JEA-AR on compulsory attendance, noting the Oregon Department of Education has observed that citations for compulsory attendance are no longer being issued statewide under ORS 339.080. He said the district may choose to implement a local citation process under the AR if it wishes to do so.
