SBISD board tables superintendent contract amendment

On Oct. 7, 2024, the Spring Branch Independent School District Board of Trustees voted to table consideration of a proposed amendment to Superintendent Jennifer Blaine’s contract. Trustee Chris Earnest made the motion to table and Vice President Courtney Anderson seconded; the motion passed by a 7-0 vote.
The topic had been discussed in executive session earlier in the evening; Board President Lisa Andrews Alpe reconvened the meeting in open session at 10:09 PM. Trustees did not adopt any changes to the superintendent’s contract at the workshop and the record states the matter will return to the Board for later consideration. No new effective dates or amendment language were adopted at the meeting.
