Three Rivers ISD board adopts ban on student personal communication devices during school day

The Three Rivers ISD Board of Trustees on July 21 adopted an amendment to Board Policy FNCE(LOCAL) prohibiting students from using personal communication devices while on school property during the school day. "I move to amend Board Policy FNCE(LOCAL), as presented by administration, to adopt a written policy prohibiting a student from using a personal communication device while on school property during the school day, as required by Texas Education Code Section 37.082," Trustee Darrell Pullin moved; Trustee Sammy Ruiz seconded and the motion passed unanimously (Yea: 7, Nay: 0).
