Board approves multiple teacher and staff hires after executive session
Following executive session trustees approved employment of seven staff members for 2025–26, including teachers for elementary, middle and special education assignments; the motion was unanimous.

After convening in executive session, the West Rusk County Consolidated ISD board voted unanimously to hire several teachers and staff for the 2025–26 school year. Trustee Matt Eastwood moved to employ Adelyn Cox (4th grade math), Kaleb Isenhour (business English, credit recovery, Cprep, coach), Erica Morales (1st grade), Andrea Odom (English II), Jaidon Parrish (Jr. High CTE, coach), Michael Welch (special education, coach), and Amy Mimms (5th grade ELA); Trustee Will Sudweeks seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
