An agency official on behalf of State Civil Service recommended the STAR method for answering behavioral interview questions and supplemental application prompts, saying it gives a structured outline of situation, task, action and result. "Using the STAR method will help you to provide specific examples instead of relying on bridal, general answers," the presenter said.
