Presenter told the Whitehall School District board that kindergarten roundup attendance rose to 30 this year, up from 21 last year, and that the district is rolling out a pilot early-math program it calls "ELM." "We had 30 that it attended that, which was huge," the Presenter said.
The Presenter said the district currently lists 27 kindergarteners and expects that number to grow over the summer. All district testing — math and science — is complete, which staff said has allowed teachers "to start placing kids into, their classrooms for next year." Placements will be posted on the elementary exterior doors near the last day of school, the Presenter said.
