Kearney amends materials management contract end date, prepares RFP
The board approved a resolution moving the end date of the municipal materials management agreement with Allied Services LLC (Republic Services of Kansas City) to Dec. 31, 2024, and authorized posting an RFP for a new contract to ensure service continuity and replacement cart delivery by Jan. 1.

The Board approved Resolution 52-2024 to amend the municipal materials management agreement with Allied Services LLC, doing business as Republic Services of Kansas City, moving the contract end date to December 31, 2024. City staff said the resolution would allow the city to post bid notices and solicit proposals so a new contractor or the existing firm could be selected to commence service January 1.
