Comal County approved Resolution 20257 supporting Guadalupe County’s planning effort for a countywide drainage plan funded through the Texas Water Development Board. Staff explained the county's role would be to participate in meetings and offer technical support and that the resolution carries no direct financial obligation for Comal County.
"There is no financial requirement from the county on this other than just participating and going to their meetings and working with them on their drainage plan," a county staff member said. The court voted to approve the resolution after a motion from Commissioner Leacock and a second from Commissioner Hogg.
County staff recommended the action as a regional coordination step tied to state flood-infrastructure funding and the court approved the request by voice vote.
