Comal County signs new EAP contract, continues wellness incentives and virtual checkups

Comal County approved an interlocal agreement to obtain employee assistance program services through Alliance Work Partners under the Texas Association of Counties Health & Employee Benefit Pool, effective Feb. 1, 2026. County staff said the program is fully funded by the county and that the previous provider stopped service in January 2026; Alliance Work Partners will provide enhanced benefits at a lower rate, staff said on the record.
The court also approved the 2026 Comal County Wellness Works Incentive Program and a Catapult Health 2026 Virtual Checkup addendum to maintain virtual preventive screenings for eligible benefited employees. Commissioners moved and seconded each item before approving them by voice vote.
