Commissioners approve 'Cedar Forest Point' as private‑road name in Comal County

County planning staff presented a request from a property owner to name a private road "Cedar Forest Point" in an exempt subdivision on the west side of FM 32 north of Stallion Springs Road. Staff said the tracks were greater than 10 acres and that the exemption letter had been provided as part of the normal process.
"This is an exempt subdivision, so all these tracks are greater than 10 acres... The owner of the property came to our office and submitted this... and so, we recommend approval," Robert (planning staff) said. A commissioner moved to approve the street name, another commissioner seconded, and the court approved the request by voice vote; the judge announced, "Motion carries."
The approval was limited to assigning a name for the private road in county records; staff did not report any immediate capital or maintenance obligations associated with the naming request.
