Maybrook Board recognizes two new Eagle Scouts for park and VFW projects

Mayor Leahy recognized two members of Troop 236 — Hunter Pearson-Leary and Liam Giannico — who received their Eagle Scout awards on Oct. 25. The mayor noted Hunter painted the concession stand and two dugouts at the Maybrook Baseball Field as his Eagle project, while Liam painted the Veterans of Foreign Wars emblem on the exterior wall of VFW Post 2064.
Trustees and staff praised the scouts and volunteers, noting the projects improved community recreation facilities and honored local veterans. The mayor said Hunter and Liam are the 93rd and 94th Eagle Scouts from Troop 236 and thanked them for choosing projects that directly benefit Maybrook.
Trustees also publicly thanked long-serving scout volunteers for their support of youth programs.
