County IT updates: BS&A cloud migration, courtroom upgrades, Microsoft contract fixed
Technology Services Director reported a resolved Microsoft contract, an upcoming BS&A migration to the cloud with a March 5–9 downtime window and March 9 go‑live, and scheduled courtroom technology upgrades in April with a 60/40 payment schedule.

Technology Services Director Melissa Schwaller told the committee that Heartland Business Systems and Microsoft resolved a contract issue dating from November and that payment will be processed this week; costs are slightly higher because the Village of Suring and the Riverview building were added to the contract. Schwaller also said county laptops and desktops budgeted for 2026 were ordered early to avoid tariff-driven price increases; handheld "Toughbooks" were not ordered as they are not subject to tariffs.
