Mike Botelho read an update from Planning Commission staff (via Julie Bonello) outlining next steps for a village master plan. A Master Planning Work Group has been formed with a goal to complete the plan in 12 months; letters of intent were sent to neighboring communities and utilities to begin outreach.
The Planning Commission identified four potential consultants and held one‑hour information sessions with each. The RFP deadline was Oct. 17, and the Work Group planned to meet Oct. 21 to select a consultant. Botelho said the next steps include scheduling a kickoff meeting with the Village Council, department heads and the Planning Commission, and drafting the initial public survey.
