Monitoring staff updated the council on equipment deliveries, deployment and partnerships. Staff said monitors and data-handling systems are being prepared for launch and that ozone equipment on loan from a partner (UNCA) is being assembled for deployment.
Monitoring staff also summarized recent court activity related to EPA particulate-matter standards and described possible next steps, including emergency injunction requests, appeals and standard-review options that could affect designation deadlines and implementation timelines. Staff said they will keep the council informed as litigation or administrative actions develop.
"We haven't had any sequences with Zoho or VM since the last report," one monitoring speaker said while describing progress toward a planned installation date and data integration. Another staff member noted work to prepare the ozone pad and related civil works in the coming weeks.
